There are two Jones Co Histories. Each one has at least one write-up about Rev Nathan Potter born 1835 in Hartford, Licking Co., OH.

His father is always listed as Nathan. You can see them in 1850 Bellevue, Jackson Co. census.

No information that I can find says Rev. Potter was in the Civil War -- in fact he was active in the ministry during this period.

Most write-ups in these histories are very proud of individuals who have served in the Civil War. Our cemeteries usually mark the graves of Civil War veterans. Rev Potter's grave is not marked. He is not in the GAR Jones Co. records.

Rev Potter had two wives: Clementine DeMoss who is buried with him in the Antioch Cem. And Mrs. William D (Shaw) Hutton. Mr. Hutton is buried in the Olin Cem. I do not know if Mrs. Hutton Potter is buried in the Olin Cem.

Rev Potter's middle initial H and, I believe, I have seen his middle name as Henry.
