Is anyone missing this fellow from the family tree: Forker W. Gerdes born October 23, 1834 near Emden, Ostfriesland, Germany. He came to america when he was 17 years old which would place his coming to this country around 1851. I have traced many of my families back into the 17th century but this fellow is elusive.
