Nelson Mitchell family

Nelson Mitchell is the reported son of George W. Mitchell who came to Jones County, Iowa from Colchester, McDonough County, Illinois. The Hon. Luther Ward Mitchell of Whiteside County, Illinois was also a son of George. I am wondering if anyone knows who George's parents were. This Mitchell family has intermarried with both of the Ireland families. Lester Mitchell's grandmother was the daughter of James Wood Ireland and his second wife was the daughter of Henry Ireland. Lester and Helen were married in California.
