TAYLOR

I am trying to find information on two sisters from Jones County that went to Japan as missionary workers and married two Methodist missionaries.
Martha J. Taylor (born about 1863) married Rev. William Jackson Callahan on 09 Oct 1893 in Nagasaki, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.
Alice Mae "Allie" Taylor (born about 1867) married Rev. William Pattillo Turner on 08 Sep 1896. Some records show Alice's last name as Burke (maybe she had another husband).
Rev. Callahan and Rev. Turner were cousins from Harris County, Georgia.

One source says Martha and Allie's parents were Sarah Ellen Thompson and Rev. Harvey Taylor.

I am always happy to share any information that I have, including photos of the sisters and their families.

Ken Whitehead,
Douglasville, GA
