This is confusing to me, but here is what I know at this time....
Patrick Hennessey b 1837 Ireland died 7/10/1915
burial Holy Cross Cem., Anamosa, Jones Co., IA
father: John Hennessey mother:______ Mahoney
Death Cert. informant Ellen Neville. In 1915, he had been in the USA/IA for 35 years.Catharine Hennessey born 11/01/1842 Ireland died 11/13/1916 74 yrs 12 days.
father: Mike Naville(Neville) mother: Ella Ducey
Death Cert. informant: Thos. Hennessey In 1915, she had been in USA/IA for 35 years.Catharine's father is not the Michael Hennessey living in Jones Co. who married Ellen Bowes in 1852.
The confusing part:
Patrick and Catharine Hennessey's daughter, Ellen/Ella b 1873 in Ireland, married Michael Neville, Jr.(born MA). He IS the son of Michael Neville and Ellen Bowes.
Living with Michael and Ellen (Hennessey)Neville in the 1925 census is Ellen S Neville age 76 born Ireland, daughter of Michael and Ellen (Deucy/Ducey) Neville..... She is a sister to Catharine (Neville) Hennessey. In 1895 census, the following people are also living with Patrick & Catharine:
Bat Neville (single) 19 b Ireland
Thomas Neville (single) 45 b Ireland
and, of course, the above mentioned Ellen S Neville.I did not have time to get obituaries for Catherine and Patrick Hennessey. If you do not have them, I will try to obtain them next Wednesday.
