My grandmother was born in Anamosa Iowa on November 8, 1866. I found the record on Nov. 1 1868 of her sister Hetta Vandervorts marriage to Nelson D. Blakely in the marriages there. So common sense tells me that my great grandparents must have lived there at that time. I am having a real hard time tracking them down but perhaps this is the place to start. Where and what would I look in at Jones County to find a trace of them and then go from there. I would truly appreciate any advice or suggestions you may give me. Thanking you in advance.
