Hi Justin, I don't have any thing to add to Your
query for Your GGGFATHER, but I married a Shover,
and He had relatives that were in the civil war, and also a colorful character, named Simon Shover,that fought in the war of 1812, I have a lot of info, on Him, as He was really eccentric,
He was caught by the indians, and jumped up on a
log, and let out a war whoop, so they loved Him.
He'd get drunk and ride His horse, up into the
court room and let out a war whoop, and rode His horse into flooded waters, and the horse was so used to it, that He alway managed to get where He was going. It was said that He was in great demand at parties, for His sense of humor, Judy Shover
