Patterson and Thompson - Bowens Prairie?

I am following the path of a particular Thompson family which once was from Virginia and settled in Delaware County, Iowa.

I know that there was a David Patterson married to a Lucy Day in Bowens Prairie which is part of the Patterson clan I'm also following. Most settled in the South Fork/Sand Springs area and on an 1869 Plat Map, their is a Patterson farm which was right on the Delaware-Jones boderline owned by either a William or Robert Patterson also born in Virginia.

Wondering if there are other Thompson's and Patterson's who may have migrated to the Bowens Prairie/Monticello area or did they stay in Delaware County? Can anyone connect?
