I don't know if this would be of much help or not and you possibly already have this but:

Charles P. Hutton was born November 9, 1786 in York Co., PA and died February 10, 1868. he was the son of George Hutton, born 1752 York Co., PA and died 1840 Scioto Co., OH.

Charles had a brother named James Hutton, born 1779 York Co., PA and died October 11, 1847 OH, married to an Elizabeth Harmon c.1802 in OH, had sister named Nancy Hutton, born c.1788 and died before 1898, married 1808 in OH to David Nicholes.

A 1998 transcripton by a Diana Hanson states that Charles P. Hutton is buried at Temple Hill Cemetery in Washington Twp but the WPA shows he is at Scotch Grove Cemetery as he lived there most of his life.

The 1856 census shows him as widowed by that time and having lived in Iowa 22 years. He is seen as one of the original County Commissioners during the 1847 county sessions to settle a county seat.
