SCOTCH GROVE - Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 2 for Charles Oeschger, 95, at St. Martin's church, Cascade. He was owner of a grocery business in Cascade for 35 years. He retired in 1950 and his son John now operates the business. After his retirement, Oeschger spent part of his time with his son Paul, Scotch Grove and made many friends.

He died Sept. 28 in a nursing home in Manchester, where he had lived for several years.

Survivors include three sons, Paul J. Oeschger, Scotch Grove; John, Cascade, and Thomas, Dubuque; three daughters, Mrs. Verdon (Helen) Gavin and Mrs. Leo (Emma) Kremer, Cascade; Mrs. John (Loretta) Grant, California; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives.
