9 December 1954 - The Anamosa Eureka

Phillip Rhatigan, 62, Anamosa native, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, Dec. 4, at Boman's dairy, Madison, Wisc., where he had worked for 18 years.

Mr. Rhatigan was born in Anamosa Oct. 13, 1892.

Funeral service was conducted Tuesday, Dec. 7, at St. Raphiel's cathedral, Madison. Burial was in Madison.

Surviving are his wife, Lucille, two sons, Howard, Tempe, Ariz., and Jack, U.S.army; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Stegall, Cedar Rapids, and Mary, at home.

Two sisters, Mrs. Mary Fitzsimmons, Monticello, and Mrs. Evelyn Marek, Marion, a brother, Tom Rhatigan, Anamosa, and several grandchildren also survive.
