15 July 1971 - The Anamosa Eureka

Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 1971 at St. Patrick Catholic church for WIlliam H. Walderbach, who died July 11 near Delhi. The Rev. Alfred Brosius officiated at the services. Interment was in Holy Cross cemetery.

William Henry Walderbach was born November 1, 1901 near Anamosa, the son of Charles and Edith Farnham Walderbach. He was married to Teresa Fluckiger in Monticello February 22, 1926. A retired farmer and salesman, he lived all his life in and near Anamosa.

He was active in 4-H, Farm Bureau and Boy Scouts. His family was chosen outstanding farm family of Jones county in 1946.

He is survived by his wife Teresa; two daughters, Mrs. Garrett (Willene) Moenk, Anamosa; Mrs. Vernon (Janis) Vacek, Oxford Junction; two sons, James J. and John L., both of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Raymond Walderbach, Anamosa; six sisters, Mrs. Bud (Marie) Cook and Mrs. Louis (Leona) Osterkamp, Anamosa; Mrs. Forest (Clara) Martz, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Thelma Feilen, Lucille Walderbach, and Mrs. Josephine Camber, all of Chicago. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Joyce, in 1954; a son and two brothers.

Pallbearers were his nephews, Paul Cook, Wynn Martz, Richard Walderbach, Thomas Walderbach, Robert Walderbach and Michael Walderbach.

McNamara Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
