Funeral services for Mrs. Harley (Sadie C.) Snyder, 81, will be held Thursday, March 25, 1:30 p.m. at the Goettsch Funeral home. Rev. Melvin Miller will officiate.

Burial will be at Riverside cemetery. Pallbearers will be Verne Shaffer, Richard Shaffer, Larry Kula, Dan Messerli, Jack Leonard and Merlin Finn.

Mrs. Snyder died Tuesday, March 23, at Anamosa Community hospital, following a brief illness.

Born August 2, 1889, in Galesburg, Kan., she was the adopted daughter of Charles and Carrie Bowers.

She was married to Harley Snyder August 24, 1908. They lived in Stevens county, Wash., from 1909 to 1911 and farmed in Jones county until moving to Anamosa in 1950. Mrs. Snyder was a member of the Methodist church and the Pythian Sisters.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. E. R. (Geraldine) Gulick, Torrance, Calif.; Mrs. William (Irene) Finn, Anamosa; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
