OLIN - Mrs. Ida Bonjour, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 9 at John McDonald hospital, Monticello, following a lengthy illness.

Family prayer service was held at St. Paul's United Methodist church, Olin, Thursday, Feb. 11, at 11:15 a.m., with memorial services at St. Paul's at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, pastor, was in charge. Mrs. Ronald Rogers was organist. Richard Frazier was soloist. Burial was in the Oakwood cemetery, Monticello.

Casketbearers were Galen Alexander, Wilbur Hanson, Delbert Grafft, Joseph Soper, James Whitmore and Glen Hinrichsen.

She was born June 16, 1883, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grandjean, in Neuchalte, Switzerland. When a small child, the family moved to Bienne, Switzerland where she grew to womanhood. At the age of 20 years, she came to America with the family, settling at St. Louis, Mo.

On May 1, 1911 she was united in marriage to George A. Bonjour at St. Louis. On their honeymoon the young couple visited their native Europe. Upon returning to America, they settled in the Monticello community where they lived until 1916, at which time they moved to the Olin community where they have lived since that time. Mr. and Mrs. Bonjour had farmed throughout their married life.

Mrs. Bonjour was a member of St. Paul's church, Olin, for over 50 years where she was a regular attendant at the services and activities of the church as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid at St. Paul's and a member of the Antioch Social Circle.

Survivors include two sons, Maurice and Leo, both of the Newport community, a daughter-in-law, Margaret; and two grandchildren, Edmond and Renee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a half sister and a half brother, a daughter, Georgette, who passed away at the age of two years, and her husband, who passed away Aug. 29, 1966.
