Last rites for Carl Feddersen, 74, Olin, were held at St. John American Lutheran church, Olin, Feb. 28, with Pastor John Flaa officiating. The Rev. Arnold Sommer, Correctionville, a nephew, gave the tribute in his memory. Mrs. Larry Scharff was organist. Soloist were Vernon Cooper and Mrs. James Black.

Pallbearers were Melvin Borcherding, Willard Hoyman, Arno Lawson, Grover Benishek, Gilbert Jones and John Gray. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Mr. Feddersen died at University hospitals, Iowa City, Feb. 25 as a result of a fall.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Feddersen, he was born in Hensburg, Germany Aug. 17, 1900 and came to the United States in 1911 with his family. He was married to Osceola Sarby at Dundee June 30, 1926. He was in the lumber business his entire business life.

He was a member of St. John American Lutheran church, having served in numerous offices in the church. He was a charter member of the Olin Lions club.

He is survived by his wife, 4 brothers, John and Ben, Loveland, Colo.; Ferdinand, Cedar Rapids and Arnold, Lost Nation; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lonie (Martha) Luedeman and Mrs. Fred (Helma) Luedeman, Stanwood and Mrs. Edna Hart, Olin. He was preceded in death by a brother Jens, in 1955.
