OLIN - Harlan Hotz, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 20, after being struck by an automobile at LeFeria, Tex.

Memorial services were held at the Baxter Memorial chapel at Marion Thursday, Dec. 24, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist church, Olin, conducted the services. Burial was in Cedar Memorial park, Cedar Rapids.

He was born Feb. 19, 1900, son of Henry G. and Lora Hotz. He was a retired employee of the Greyhound Bus Lines. On May 20, 1948, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Church. They had made their home in Marion.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, Marion; two daughters: Mrs. Harland Bixler and Mrs. Don Lyon, both of Olin; four step children: Mrs. Marion Thompson and Howard Bean, both of Marion; Mrs. Ivan Stoneking, Mt. Vernon; and Mrs. Robert Hupton, East Moline, Ill.; four brothers: Ernest, Lisbon; Irvin and Mervin, both of Olin; and Eldon, Marion; one sister: Mrs. Theodore Clothier, Olin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Melvin.
