SCOTCH GROVE - Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 31, for Ray Walraven, 80, Tama, former Scotch Grove resident, in Tama and Monticello. Rev. Harley Sampson, pastor of the Assembly of God church, conducted the service. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery, Monticello.

Mr. Walraven was born Feb. 24, 1890, son of John and Catherine Cameron Walraven, Long Pine, Colo. He was married to Edna Wright, Monticello Jan. 3, 1913 at Center Junction. She preceded him in death in 1951. Dec. 22, 1955, he was married to Eulailia Mishler, Bloomfield. Couple lived in Scotch Grove from 1923 to 1928, living on the farm now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Leggett. After leaving the farm they moved to Tama where they lived at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Raymond, Malcolm; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Flowers, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Evelyn Eden, Muscatine; and Mrs. Arthur Martin, Toledo.

Others include two step-sons, David Mishler, Niland, Calif.; and Robert Mishler, Bloomfield; a step-daughter, Mrs. Goldson Black, Bloomfield; 10 grandchildren and nine step grandchildren; and one step great grandchild.

Others include two brothers, John Walraven, Sidney, Nebr.; and Clyde Walraven, Sterling, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Richard Kildee and Mrs. Clyde Howery, Fremont, Nebr.; and Mrs. Clyde Keeler, Arlington, Nebr.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Relatives attending the services from this area included Mrs. Mildred Wright, John R. Wright, Harold Conley, Monticello; Mrs. Nellie Rummell, Anamosa; Mr. and Mrs. Leamon Scott.
