OXFORD JUNCTION - George Buresh, 60, Maquoketa, former Oxford Junction resident, died Thursday, June 11, at the Jackson County Public hospital, Maquoketa.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 13, at the Hayden Funeral home, Oxford Junction. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

He was born at Oxford Junction. He was married Sept. 23, 1937, to Joyce Jones, at Maquoketa. He had been employed by the Clinton Engine Corporation, Maquoketa.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Nancy, Mrs. Donald Slouha, and Ruth, Mrs. Terry Peters, Oxford Junction; and Mrs. Richard Pace, Wyoming; three sons, Duane and George, both of Cedar Rapids; and Kenneth, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Three sisters, Mrs. Mary Balichek, Mrs. Maggie Leslie and Mrs. Julia Zaruba, all of Oxford Junction; two brothers, Albert, Monticello, and Fred, Oxford Junction; and six grandchildren.
