June 11, 1970 - The Anamosa Eureka

Mrs. Ralph (Nell) Miller, 68, Anamosa, died Monday, June 8, at Anamosa Community hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 10, at 1:30 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. James P. Imlay conducted the service. Burial was in the Antioch cemetery.

Pallbearers included Charles Thompson, Francis Brady, L. H. Ketelsen, Harold Ford, John Westphal and Lyle Russell.

She was born May 19, 1902, daughter of M. H. Ireland and Jennie Rosencrans Ireland, Anamosa. She graduated from Anamosa high school in 1920. She was married to Ralph Miller on Jan. 7, 1925, at Marion. She had lived her married life in Anamosa.

She was a member of the Baptist church, American Legion auxiliary and Past President of same; Veterans of World War I auxiliary and treasurer of United Church Women.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph; a daughter, Carolyn, Mrs. Paul Moeller, Marion; two sisters, Mrs. J. E. Porter and Mrs. Jack Fahey, both of Anamosa; and two granddaughters, Lori and Kristin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
