23 April 1970 - The Anamosa Eureka

James Earl Fagen, 23, Anamosa, died Sunday, April 19, at an Iowa City hospital from a kidney ailment.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 22, at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic church. Rev. Alfred Brosius conducted the service. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery.

Pallbearers included Ray Bickford, Larry McGovern, William Joslin, Kenneth Humpal, Ben Hinrichsen and Michael Houser.

He was born June 12, 1946, at Monticello, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Burrell Fagen. He graduated from Anamosa high school with the class of 1966.

He was employed at Anamosa Feed Mill with his parents. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and Izaak Walton league.

Survivors include his parents, and one brother, Edward Fagen.
