ONSLOW - Mrs. Lucy Husten, 82, Onslow, died Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Jackson County Public hospital, Maquoketa, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 9, at 1:30 p.m. at the Wyoming Methodist church. Rev. Lyle Meester conducted the services. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers included grandsons, Verlon Husten, Neil Hansel, Dennis Husten, Larry Husten, Steven Husten and Daryl Hanna.

She was born Nov. 2, 1888, daughter of Leroy Dodge and Isadore Hardy Dodge, Gardner, Ill. She was married to Clarence Husten, Feb. 25, 1914. They lived their married life in Jones county and farmed until 1949 when they moved to Onslow.

Survivors include three daughters, Laura, Mrs. Lawrence Clark, Clarence; Lucile, Mrs. William Finkenbinder, Wyoming; Viola, Mrs. Ronald Hanna, Onslow.

Others include three sons, Russell, Bettendorf; Paul, Wyoming; and Harold, Anamosa; one sister, Mrs. Rozella English, Wyoming; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, one granddaughter, three brothers and three sisters.

Ensign Roger Hanna, Norfolk, Va., and Pvt. Kenneth Hanna, were unable to be present for their grandmother's funeral.
