Funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Goettsch funeral home for Francis Marion Gilmore, 94, who died Monday, June 7, at Clemens nursing home, Anamosa.

Rev. Stuart Brightwell officiated. Burial was in Olin cemetery. Serving as casketbearers were Floyd, Donald, Dale, Jay, Dillon and Melford Gilmore. All were nephews of Mr. Gilmore.

Mr. Gilmore was born on a farm northwest of Olin, Nov. 14, 1859, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Gilmore.

A retired farmer, he has lived in Anamosa for the last eight years.

His wife preceded him in death Aug. 16, 1938.

Surviving are five sons, Arthur E., Hale; Oscar, Hinckley, Minn.; Ralph, Stone City; Truman, New Liberty, and Roy, Columbus, Ohio; and a daughter, Mrs. R. L. Strait, Moses Lake, Wash. Twenty-one grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren also survive.
