OLIN - Funeral service for Mrs. Minnie Starry, 79, was held Wednesday, May 19, in the Methodist church with Rev. G. D. Gaide officiating. Mrs. Starry died at the home of her daughter, Marjorie, at Traer, May 16.

Mary Ann Hart sang two numbers, "Cross Over the Bar" and "Beyond the Sunset," with Mrs. Louis Rohwedder at the organ. Mrs. John Von Spreecken and Mrs. August Ahrendsen were in charge of the flowers.

Casket bearers were Frank Phillips, Elias Williams, Melvin Ramsey, Ernest Peck, Wilbur Taylor and Dell Stingley. Burial was in Olin cemetery.

Minnie Mable Mitchell, youngest daughter of Nelson and Elizabeth Jean Mitchell, was born June 13, 1874, at Olin.

Sept. 21, 1892, she was married to John E. Ralston. Six children were born to this union. They were Mrs. Florence Sharp, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Lester Ralston, Summerville, Ind.; Mrs. Marjorie States, Traer; Mrs. Dorothea Gardner, Anderson, Ind.; and Mrs. Ruth Clarey, Scotch Grove. One daughter, Violet, preceeded her in death.

Mr. Ralston died in 1934 and in 1941 she married Jake Starry, who died in 1948.

She remained in her own home until a year ago, when because of ill health, it was necessary to make her home with her two daughters, Dorothea and Marjorie.

She is survived by her five children, 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the local Methodist church since 1919 and was an active member of the Women's Society for Christian Service the church and the Sunday school.
