OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 18, at 1:30 p.m. for George Yarolem, 56, who died Friday, Jan. 15, at 4:30 p.m. in the office of Dr. L. J. Homan. Service was held in the Hayden funeral home with Kenneth Harden in charge. Hymns were sung by Mrs. Otto Koranda and Mrs. Harold Jeffrey accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Palmer Vaughn. Serving as casket bearers were Louis Bisek, Henry Otte, Glenn Bright, Delmer Mershon, Emile Burian and Ray Wink. Burial was in the cemetery at Monmouth.

George Yarolem was born at Canton, Dec. 13, 1896 the son of John and Barbara Yarolem. He was united in marriage to Mildred Coker in 1918 at Marion. They farmed near Monmouth for 20 years coming then to Oxford Junction where he was employed by the Milwaukee railroad company until in 1952 he retired because of ill health. He had gone to Dr. Holman's office for medicine for Mrs. Yarolem and was stricken there with a heart attack. City resuscitator was brought in, but all efforts to revive him failed and he was pronounced dead. Coroner Clyde Campbell, Olin, was called but no inquest was held.

He is survived by his wife and one son, Dale, Wyoming, and two grandchildren, also four brothers, Mike, Wyoming; John, Monmouth; William, Onslow; and Charles, Canton; and five sisters, Mrs. Hattie Streets and Mrs. Elsie Voelker's, Monmouth, Mrs. Bessie Mylhouse, Marion, Mrs. Emma Street, Clinton and Mrs. Charles Trinka, Oxford Junction.

His mother and father, two brothers, Joe and Frank and a sister, Mary, preceded him in death.
