OXFORD JUNCTION - Rites were held at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 5, from the Hayden funeral home, and at 9:30 a.m. from the Sacred Heart church for Frank J. Ruley, 66. Mr. Ruley died Tuesday, June 1, around noon at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, where he had been a patient for the last two weeks. Rt. Rev. Monsignor Joseph Gregor officiated at the service.

Serving as casketbearers were Frank Kolarik, Frank Fedlak, Tom Murray, John Lawrence, Vit Lasask, and John Bisinger. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Frank Ruley was born near Oxford Junction Nov. 21, 1887, the son of John and Mary Ruley and had lived here all his life. He was married to Anna Vonish, Chicago, June 28, 1913. They farmed near here for 40 years retiring in 1951 to their home in Oxford Junction.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Frank, jr., Earlville, and Edward, at home; two daughters, Mrs. John Kostichek, Oxford Junction, and Mrs. James Kostichek, Wyoming; seven grandchildren; one brother, Joe, Oxford Junction, and five sisters, Mrs. Anna Shields, Mrs. Josephine Blank, and Mrs. Helen Evans, Chicago; Mrs. Blanche Lawrence, Oxford Junction, and Mrs. Mary Swenson, Vinton.
