OXFORD JUNCTION - Word has been received here by relatives of the death of Gerald Coon, son of Mrs. Tillie Coon, Oxford Junction, Wednesday morning, May 12. He had been ill in a hospital at Long Beach, Calif., for the past several months and his mother had gone there three months ago.

He had been living at the time in California. He is her oldest son and had served for 20 years in the United States navy.

A brother, Stanley, Oxford Junction, left by plane to be with his on the Sunday before his death, and another brother, Bernell, Cedar Rapids, also had gone to California. No word has been received here of funeral arrangements.

He is survived by his wife and an adopted daughter, three-years-old.
