OXFORD JUNCTION - Mrs. Mary Pegorick, 84, died at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, where she had been taken Saturday, April 3.

Funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at the Hayden funeral home. Rev. Kenneth Harden officiated.

Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen and Mrs. Otto Koranda sang, accompanied by Mrs. Thomas Vaughn at the organ. Marie Fisher, Betty Willimack, Dorothy Pegorick and Audrey Smith were in charge of flowers.

Casket bearers were all grandsons of Mrs. Pegorick. They were John, Harry and Fred, jr., Pegorick, John, Otto and Verne Hansen. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mrs. Pegorick was born on a farm between Oxford Junction and Wyoming, June 4, 1869, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kalouse.

She was married to Frank Pegorick Oct. 8, 1883. Six children were born to this union. One son died in infancy.

Surviving are, Mrs. Will Strong, Wyoming; Mrs. Claus Hansen, Olin, Henry and Fred, Oxford Junction; Frankie, Wyoming; two brothers, Joe, Toronto, and John, Olin; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.

Mr. Pegorick died Feb. 9, 1833. Two sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.
