Funeral service for Mrs. Jessie B. Darrow, 78, who died at her home in Anamosa early Monday morning, March 29, was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Goettsch funeral home.

Rev. R. B. Colton, pastor of the Sinclair Memorial Presbyterian church, Cedar Rapids, officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.

Jessie Belle Darrow was born at Monticello Oct. 18, 1875, the daughter of Francis and Anna Secrest Benedict.

She was married to Charles B. Darrow. He died in 1936. Couple farmed in Cass township until 1924, when they moved to Anamosa.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Steenhoek, Anamosa, and a son, Robert, Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death, besides her husband, were a brother, Roy, and a sister, Winefred Colton.
