MONTICELLO - Mrs. Olive K. Hakes, 93, one of Jones county's oldest residents, died Saturday, Feb. 6, at Staub nursing home in Monticello. Mrs. Hakes home was near Martelle.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Forest chapel church with Rev. Everett Bennett and Rev. Sammy Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Forest cemetery. Body is at Goettsch funeral home.

Mrs. Hakes was born in Jackson township, April 11, 1860, the daughter of John and Lucinda Alspaugh Klinefelter.

She is survived by a son, Roy, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Pulver, Nichols; and Mrs. Lillian Bullard, Pueblo, Colo.

Preceding her in death were her husband and two children, who died in infancy.
