OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral service for Jesse S. Fields, 89, who died Monday, Sept. 21, at his home near Oxford Junction, was held Thursday afternoon, Sept. 24, at the Hayden funeral home and the Methodist church.

Rev. Phillip Masters, Monmouth, officiated. Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen was vocalist. She was accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Palmer Vaughn.

Serving as casket bearers were Don Mulvihill, Jerry Mulvihill, Tom Murray, Melvin Stevensen, Elmer Jensen and Tom Scanlon. Burial was in Smithstown cemetery.

Surviving are his wife; six sons, Jesse Jr., Levi and Dale, at home; Merle, Oxford Junction; Clyde, Des Moines; and Clifford, Delmar; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Long, Des Moines; and Goldie, Woodward.

Twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
