Mrs. Cash Shoop, 72, Anamosa, died suddenly Sunday, Sept. 20, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 in St. Paul's Lutheran church. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

Funeral service for Mrs. Cash Shoop, 72, who died suddenly Sunday, Sept. 20, was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, in St. Paul's Lutheran church with Rev. H. E. Hahn officiating.
Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Casket bearers were Ervin Wilken, John Martensen, William Folkers, Henry Rickels, William Joslin and Ed Heeren. Goettsch funeral home handled arrangements.
Dena Shoop, daughter of Gerhard and Elizabeth Caspers Johnson, was born Oct. 18, 1880, in the province of Ostfriesland, Germany, near the city of Hamburg. She was baptized as a child in the Lutheran church in Germany.
She came to America when she was 13 years old. Mrs. Shoop was then instructed preparatory to confirmation by the late Rev. C. Mardorf, and confirmed by him in the Wayne Lutheran church in 1895.
On Dec. 20, 1913, she was married to Cash Shoop, Anamosa, and they spent their married life in farming.
Five children were born to this union. They are Mrs. Harvey Runnels, (Mildred), Hattisburg, Miss.; Mrs. Richard Shaffer, (Helen), Anamosa; Kenneth, Anamosa; Mrs. Fred Bunting (Josie), Wyoming. One daughter, Velma, preceded her mother in death. Ten grandchildren and many other relatives also survive.
