OXFORD JUNCTION - Mrs. Antone Beranek, 47, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the University hospital, Iowa City, where she had been a patient for the past month, following a year's illness.

The body was brought to the Hayden funeral home, Wednesday, Feb. 18. Funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. Kenneth Harden officiated.

Singers were Mrs. Otto Koranda and Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen with Mrs. Hayden at the organ. Casket bearers were Donald Bearinger, Onslow; Robert Bearinger, Monmouth; Paul Bearinger, Martelle; and Joseph Ruley, jr., Edwin Wilimack and Lester Benischek, Oxford Junction. Burial was in the South Mineral cemetery, north of Onslow.

Ethel Bearinger was born near Onslow, Jan. 18, 1906, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bearinger. She attended Coe college, Cedar Rapids and taught in the Jones county rural schools for several years.

She was united in marriage to Antone Beranek Feb. 17, 1926, at Maquoketa. Her death came on her 26th wedding anniversary.

Couple farmed near Oxford Junction, and at the time of her death were located six miles east, near Smithtown. She was an active member of the Lilac Camp of the Royal Neighbors.

Surviving are: her husband; four sons, Richard, Tommy and Roger, at home; Pfc. Robert, in service; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bearinger, Canton; and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Howell, Canton.
