OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral service was held Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 9 a.m. from the Sacred Heart church for Mrs. Frances Benischek, 48, who died Sunday evening, Feb. 22, in the University hospital, Iowa City, where she had been a patient for past week.

Rt. Rev. Monsignor Joseph Gregor officiated at the service. Serving as casket bearers were Kerin Keegan, William Quirk, Frank Kolarik, Ray Mowry, Junior Koranda and August Hansen. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Mrs. Benischek was born Frances Van Sickle, Feb. 26, 1905, near Oxford Junction, the daughter of Frank and Anna Van Sickle.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Robert and Dwayne, Oxford Junction; Mrs. Doreen Huston, Canton, and Mrs. Darlene Dirkesen, Clinton; her mother, Mrs. Van Sickle, Oxford Junction, and five grandchildren.
