The body of Nathan E. Rohrer was found Monday morning on his property, according to coroner Dr. L. D. Caraway of Monticello.

Death was ruled a suicide by hanging, Dr. Caraway said. This was the second suicide in the Monticello area since the beginning of the year.

Funeral services were held for Nathan Elliott Rohrer of Lovell township on Wednesday at Goettsch Funeral home. Rev. Gideon I. Krein of the First Presbyterian church conducted the services. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery.

Mr. Rohrer was born Sept. 9, 1893, the son of Charles and Elizabeth Miner Rohrer. He married Cora Howe on June 25, 1914, and they farmed in the Monticello community all their life.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Theola) Keating of Anamosa, and one brother, Robert Rohrer of Linn Junction.
