MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Mrs. George Siebels, 68, Amber, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Wayne Zion Lutheran church. Interment will be in the Wayne Zion cemetery.

Mrs. Siebels died Tuesday, Sept. 12, at John McDonald hospital, where she had been a patient since Aug. 26. She was born June 17, 1899, in Wayne township, the daughter of Margaret Zimmerman and August Toenjes. She married George Siebels Feb. 22, 1922, at Wayne Zion church.

They lived in Amber all their married life and had operated a grocery store there until 1965. She was a member of the Wayne Zion Lutheran church, American Legion auxiliary and Mt. Moriah Chapter OES.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include: her husband; a son, John of Amber, two daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Wanda) Ahrendsen of Rochester, N.Y., and Mrs. Arthur Handel of Shreveport, La.; four sisters, Mrs. Edward Herren and Mrs. August Folkers of Anamosa, Mrs. Edward Meister of Denver, Colo., and Miss Julia Toenjes of Monticello.
