MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Otto E. Hubbard, 73, Monticello, were held Saturday morning at Sacred Heart church, with interment in the Sacred Heart cemetery. The Rev. Fr. Joseph Kirk officiated.

Mr. Hubbard died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, May 25. He was born July 31, 1893, the son of Robert and Francis Fisher Hubbard. On May 31, 1916, he married Emma Valenta. The couple had always farmed in the Monticello area, before retiring.

He is survived by his wife; a son, James of Monticello; three grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur of Los Angeles, Calif., Harold of Peoria, Ill. and Marvin of Moline, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Merle Buckner, Monticello, Mrs. Ernest Carpenter, Greeley, Mrs. Harry Fairbank, Mason City, Mrs. Lloyd Rice, Farrinton, Wyo., and Mrs. Hazel Barker, Peoria, Ill.

Pallbearers were Clarence Schafer, Ernest Kula, Ernest Schnier, Clarence Ricklefs, Stanley Kula, Rudy Ambruehl, Bob Lawrence and Jack Ahlrich.
