Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Goettsch funeral home for Mrs. Adeline Maria Badberg, 53, who was taken seriously ill Wednesday evening and passed away at the John McDonald hospital early Thursday morning, August 2. The cause of her death was cerebral hemorrhage. Rev. R. P. Young officiated at the services.

Born on August 6, 1898, in Scotch Grove township, she was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Eggers who farmed near Scotch Grove. She was married on Dec. 14, 1922, to Henry Badberg, and they made their home near Scotch Grove and Monticello.

Surviving are her husband who is now at Center Junction; three sisters, Mrs. A. Henry Balster, Monticello, Mrs. John Haack of Guckeen, Minn., and Miss Johanna Eggers of Portland, Oregon; also two brothers, Richard Eggers of Riverside, Calif., and Henry Eggers of Niagara Falls, N.Y. One brother and her parents preceded her in death.

Pallbearers included John Husmann, John Hinrichs, Herman Petersen, Russell Jamieson, Henry Bartels, and Ervin Wacker.

Interment was made at the St. John's Lutheran cemetery near Monticello.
