MONTICELLO - Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon for Virgil Purington, 53, Jones County Home resident. The Rev. Anton Kirkegaard officiated.

Mr. Purington died at the Jones County home Jan. 17. He had been a resident there for the past four years. He was born and reared in Black Hawk county.

He is survived by an aunt, Mrs. Emma Greiser of New Albin.
