WYOMING - Funeral services for Mrs. E. C. Diggs, 52, who died Monday afternoon at St. Luke's hospital following a several months illness, were held from the Methodist church in Wyoming at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. F. E. Somerville was in charge, assisted by the Rev. Harold Fay of North English, the Diggs' former pastor. Burial was in Cedar Memorial cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

The deceased was born Elma Zimmerman at North English, on March 23, 1898. She graduated from the Williamsburg high school and on August 14, 1918 she was married to Elmer C. Diggs. After Mr. Diggs' return from World War I the home was made in Winterset for one year, then on the farm near North English until nine years ago they came to Wyoming to engage in the hardware business. She was an active worker in the Methodist church, and Sunday school and church organizations until ill health prevented such, over a year ago. She was also a past president of the American Legion auxiliary, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Hawthorne club.

Survivors are her husband, an adopted son, Glenn, and two brothers, C. B. Zimmerman of Cedar Rapids and Earl M. Zimmerman of Johnson City, Kan., and several nieces and nephews.
