Bernice Irene Bramer, 55, of Wyoming, Iowa died at University Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa on February 8, 1984.

She was born the daughter of Arthur and Margaret Knutsen Close in Wyoming, Iowa on October 23, 1917.

She attended the Wyoming schools and graduated from Wyoming High School in 1935.

Bernice married Raymond Bramer on March 23, 1940 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and the couple resided in Wyoming for the rest of their lives. She retired in 1979 after working 25 years for Rockwell-Collins.

She was a member of the Wyoming Presbyterian Church, the United Presbyterian Women, and was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by one daughter, Rita (Mrs. Acel Nowachek) of rural Maquoketa, Iowa; two grandchildren, Dean and Mary Jo; and two sisters, Iceda Graff and Louise Koranda of Wyoming, Iowa

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Services were held Saturday, February 11, 1984 at 1:30 p.m. in the Wyoming Presbyterian Church with burial in the Wyoming Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Grimes and Rev. Clifford Rogers officiated. Mrs. Tom Paulsen was organist and Mrs. Gary Holst was soloist.

Pall bearers were Gilbert Milota, Jr., Arthur Ehlers, Allen Willman, Ross Hamilton, Curt McKinstry, and Allen Husmann.
