Walter C. Briggs, 83, of Minneapolis, Minn. died December 27, 1983 in a Minneapolis hospital.

He was born in Wyoming, Iowa on November 25, 1900. He graduated from West High School in Minneapolis and from Yale College. He was also a veteran of WW II.

Walter was retired from Norwest Bank as a Vice President in the Trust Department.

Walter and his sister, Mary, visited Wyoming each summer to care for the residence of their grandfather, Dr. M. H. Calkins.

He is survived by his sister of Minneapolis and his niece, Katherine Briggs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 30, 1983 at the Wyoming Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Grimes officiated.
