March 22, 1951 - Monticello Express

Funeral services were held in Georgetown, N.Y, Sunday, for Mrs. Neil Haeussler Sulinger, who died last Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Hoyle, in Albany, N.Y.

Mrs. Sulinger was born in Monticello on October 3, 1876, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Haeussler. The family moved to Prairieburg, and she was reared and educated in that community, later attending business college in Cedar Rapids.

She worked in Monticello for the Jones County Times for a number of years and then moved to Lovell, S.D., where she homesteaded. She opened a store in that place and later met and married Fred Sulinger.

The couple were the parents of only one child, who survives, as does Mr. Sulinger. Up until a year ago, they had operated a dairy farm in New York. During the past year they have made their home with their daughter.

Other survivors include three sisters: Mrs. Augusta Farley, Washington, D.C., Mrs. Helen Gould, Grundy Center, and Mrs. Rena Kettiltz, Monticello. Three grandchildren also survive.
