Lester L. Fall, 77, died March 4 at West Branch after a long illness.

He was born on January 7, 1904 at Cedar Rapids, the son of Monta and Daisy (Blood) Fall. After attending rural school and beginning his life's work, he married Viola Topping at Olin on December 16, 1926. The couple lived nearly all of their married lives in the Olin area where he hauled milk before beginning a lime crushing and hauling business. He retired in 1968.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Laverle of Olin; one daughter, Mrs. Don (Evelyn) Hamilton of West Branch; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five brothers, Edward of Olin, Leo of Hale, Harold of Belle Plaine, Rolland of Olin and Harland of Marion; and one sister, Mrs. Vernie (Violet) Wood of Olin.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother.

Services were held on Saturday, March 7, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Rev. Fred Richardson officiated. Miss Lori Mapel was organist.

Pallbearers were Leo Fall, Jr., Wrenden Fall, Robert Suchomel, Donald Bodkin, Roy Holzinger and Kenneth Topping.
