Services will be held this afternoon (Thursday, Nov. 29) at 1:30 at the Goettsch funeral home and then at 2 o'clock at the Wayne Zion Evangelical Lutheran church for Mrs. Grace M. Husmann. Mrs. Husmann passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Wennekamp Tuesday morning following a long illness. She had been making her home with her daughter for the past few months.

Grace M. Weers was born in Ostfriesland, Germany, Dec. 10, 1868, the daughter of John and Maria Daniels Weers. She entered the United States when she was 16 years old and her home had been made in Jones county since then.

She was united in marriage to Wilke Husmann who preceded her in death May 26, 1945. They were the parents of eleven children, nine of whom survive.

Survivors include: William Husmann, Wyoming; John Husmann, Anamosa; Henry Husmann, Backus, Minn.; Mrs. Henry Wennekamp, Monticello; Mrs. Kate Dirks, Wyoming; Mrs. D. John Dirks, Scotch Grove; Mrs. John F. Dirks, Anamosa, and Mrs. Owen Conley and Mrs. Henry Rink jr., both of Monticello. Also surviving are 43 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert, Anamosa and two sisters, Mrs. Tom Schoon of Anamosa and Mrs. Henry Harms of Amber.

Pallbearers included John Wennekamp, Gerhard Tuetken, Lavern Husmann, Ernest Husmann, Leroy Dirks, and Robert Dirks. Interment was made at the Wayne Zion cemetery with Rev. F. H. Kehren officiating at the services.
