Leona M. Lincoln was born at Chandlerville, Illinois on October 18, 1892. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary Harbinson Lewis. Leona died on August 4, 1982 at the Anamosa Care Center where she had stayed for her last three years.

In 1911 she married Philo Norton. He died in 1918 leaving her with three children. She then moved her family to the Morley, Iowa, area. In 1920 she married Wilson Gilmore. Two children were born to this union. In 1954 she married Arthur Lincoln and resided in the Wyoming area ever since.

She was a member of the Wyoming Methodist Church and an active member of the Hawthorne Club until her health failed.

Leona is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Herbert (Gerry) Levsen of Olin, Mary Rutherford of Elizabeth, New Jersey, Davidee Boge of Stone City; one step-daughter Erma Lincoln of Houston, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one great, great grandson; and two sisters, Blanche Riendl of Athens, Georgia, and Fannie Lynne of Havana, Illinois.'

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her husbands, one son, and one daughter.

Services were held Saturday, August 7, 1982 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Wyoming with burial in Wyoming Cemetery. Rev. Mike Reeves officiated. Mrs. Richard Pace was organist and Karla Hartwig was soloist. Pallbearers were Don Levsen, Alan Bixler, Lyle Boge, Larry Dennis, Jim Smith and John McHugh.
