Ed Hronik, about 59, took his own life by shooting sometime Sunday evening, according to Jones county Sheriff Lewis Dreibelbis.

The body was found in the basement of Hronik's home in Oxford Junction Monday morning. Sheriff Dreibelbis and County Coroner Dr. Robert Paul termed it a suicide.

Hronik is survived by his wife and two sons.
