MONTICELLO - Services for Casper (Cap) Arduser, 86, were held Tuesday afternoon, April 11, at Peace United Church of Christ, with interment in Oakwood cemetery. The Rev. Paul Bendit officiated.

Mr. Arduser died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, April 9, after a three week illness. He was born near Monticello July 25, 1880, the son of Casper and Ursula Schmidt Arduser. He was educated in the Jones county schools. On May 2, 1906, he married Emma Straehl. The couple farmed in the Monticello and Hopkinton areas until 1950, when they moved to Monticello.

He is survived by five children: Mrs. Galen (Gertrude) Hein, Clifford Arduser, Mrs. Paul (Mildred) Gerdes and Donald Arduser, all of Monticello, and Mrs. Jerome (Velma) Baum of Dyersville; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. James Thompson of Monticello.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1963; a son, George; a daughter, Sara; two grandsons; two sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Donald Baum, John Hein, Stuart Gerdes, Robert Arduser, Dennis Arduser and Ivan Hein.
