WYOMING - Funeral services for Mrs. E. R. Marshall, who died Saturday night at her home on east Green street, following a lingering illness, were held from the family home at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. F. E. Somerville, pastor of the Methodist church, was in charge. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Edith Jane Reade, daughter of the late Nelson and Ellen Osborne Reade, was born April 14, 1819 on a farm near Onslow. On January 28, 1898, she was married to Edwin R. Marshall of Wyoming, at Maquoketa. The home thereafter was in Wyoming with the exception of a few years residence at Monticello and in California. The Marshalls observed their fifieth wedding anniversary in 1948. Mrs. Marshall was always identified in the business with her husband, the Crescent Printing company, and until ill health prevented, she was always in her place as a supervisor.

She was a member of the Methodist church and an earnest worker in its societies.

Survivors include six children, besides her husband: Harold, Gordon and Charles, all of Wyoming; Lyle, of Pinole, Calif.; Ellen of Oskaloosa; and Mrs. Russell (Harriet) Chaplin of Onslow. Fifteen grand children, two great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Jessie Arnold of Wyoming, Mrs. Frank (Bessie) Dawes of Center Junction and Clarence A. Reade of Onslow, also survive.
