MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Fannie Fern Milroy, 70, were held Monday afternoon, April 10, at Goettsch funeral home with interment in Oakwood cemetery. The Rev. Denton Ericson conducted the services.

Mrs. Milroy died at the John McDonald hospital April 7 after an illness of several months. She was born near Hopkinton Sept. 28, 1896, the daughter of Edgar and Julietta Reed Boots. She had lived in the Hopkinton and Monticello communities her entire life. She was a member of St. Luke Methodist church, Royal Neighbors and VFW auxiliary of Monticello.

Survivors include two children, Mrs. Paul (Iola) Bearinger of Central City and Dean of Monticello; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Boots of Monticello, Oscar Boots of Carthage, Mo., and Winnie Boots of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Mellor of Monticello and Miss Ermine Boots of Springville.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Fern Shaw in 1949; her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Hubert Gray, Ernest Appleby, LeRoy Appleby, James Wright, William Wright and Clayton Adamson.
