MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Miss Anna G. Heiken, 84, were held Wednesday afternoon, March 1, at SS Peter and Paul Lutheran church, rural Monticello. Interment was in Prairie Hill cemetery. The Rev. Richard E. Zellmer conducted the services.

Miss Heiken died at Evergreen nursing home, Marion, after an illness of several weeks. She was born near Monticello in Castle Grove township, Feb. 21, 1883, the daughter of Albert and Maria Behrends Heiken. She attended the Jones county rural schools. For a number of years she clerked in a dry goods store in Monticello. She made her home with her mother and brother, until moving to Monticello 15 years ago.

She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Lutheran church.

Survivors include three brothers, Fred Heiken of Monticello, George Heiken of Anamosa and Carl Heiken of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and six brothers.

Pallbearers were Leslie Heiken, Rex Heiken, Clarence Johnson, Max Specht, Roger Heiken and John Heiken.
